04 · About me
Pulkit Verma
Technology strategist. Developer. Creative producer.
I’m Pulkit, based in Adelaide. My work sits where business, technology and experience meet. In consulting, that meant strategy and transformation for public services, healthcare, banking and mining. Under LavishCosmos, it means developing applications and games, and producing music. I like a good idea even more when I can make something of it.

01 / The story
The journey, in chapters
A few places, a few changes of direction, and a persistent interest in how things work.
01Born in Delhi · School in NoidaThe equipment caught my eye
I was born in Delhi and went to school in Noida. With two doctors in the family, medicine seemed the likely route. I was more interested in the equipment: diagnostic instruments, cameras and anything with a circuit inside. Maths and physics kept me curious; football and lead guitar in the school band kept the timetable interesting.
02EdinburghThe electives won
I went to the University of Edinburgh to study electronics engineering. Informatics electives introduced me to functional programming, computational logic and data analysis. The optional subjects became the main attraction, and I moved towards computer science.
03BuckinghamCode meets the business case
At Buckingham, I studied Applied Computing with Software Entrepreneurship. My projects ranged from analysing chronic kidney disease reports to detecting runway debris. A sharing-economy app for local service providers took me from development to a pitch at Buckingham Angels. The code needed to work; the idea needed to make sense to someone else.
04IndiaThe practical education
Through FICCI’s MILAP programme, I worked with women-led self-help groups in Maharashtra on market access, commercial planning and partnerships. Roles in pharmaceuticals and hospital IT, alongside a retail venture, brought a different kind of education: customers, colleagues and operations have a way of making a plan more specific.
05LavishCosmos · Since 2020Sound. Picture. Play.
I founded LavishCosmos in 2020. It’s an independent audio, video and games production venture, bringing together music, moving images and interactive worlds. The music moves through progressive house, downtempo and more experimental electronic work; the games give those technical and creative interests another place to meet. Different media, the same attention to how an experience feels.
06AdelaideA new city, a wider brief
Adelaide brought my master’s, an MBA in entrepreneurship, with the ThincLab community close by. Corporate consulting followed: technology strategy, data and digital transformation, first at PwC and then at Scyne. Two accolades came along the way: a state win in the PwC x AWS DeepRacer challenge and an honourable mention at GovHack.
07NowBringing it together
Today I’m a permanent resident of Australia, shaping a career around my entrepreneurial goals. The latest step is LavishCosmos Technologies, founded in January 2026 to bring the threads together: strategy to choose what’s worth making, development to make it work and production to make it feel right.
02 / How I work
Habits I’m keeping
What I bring to a project, whether the first draft is a roadmap, a prototype or a rough mix.
Make the first version
A sketch, prototype or rough mix makes an idea easier to test. I like making it tangible early.
Keep the pencil handy
Feedback can change the brief. I try to notice when a better question has arrived, even if I liked the first answer.
Follow it into practice
A strategy gets interesting when people have to use it. I care about the decisions, delivery and everyday details that follow.
Listen before designing
Working with rural enterprises taught me to spend time with the people doing the job. Their constraints belong in the design from the start.
Know who it’s for
Before choosing the tools, I want to understand the person, the problem and what a useful result would look like.
Change instruments
Code, a guitar and Ableton ask different things of me. Moving between them keeps me curious and attentive to detail.
