About the engine
Realism is a 2D physics engine built in Rust, with a sandbox studio on top. Pour water, drop wood and stone, light fires and knock things down, all simulated live in the browser. A GPU mode handles floods of water and heaps of debris.
Made for
Anyone curious how things float, burn, break and fall, or simply keen to knock a tower over.
What’s inside
- 01Water that floats wood and sinks stone, on the GPU too
- 02Fire, smoke and lava
- 03Things that break and burn
- 04Build with boxes, ropes, chains, seesaws and more
Where to start
- 1It opens on the Welcome demo: pick a tool on the left, then click or drag in the scene.
- 2Try the other demos: Demolition, Fire, Lava into water and GPU flood.
- 3Zoom with the mouse wheel, pan with the right button or by holding Space, and press Fit to bring the scene back.
Good to know
- Best with a mouse and keyboard; on a phone, the tool panel opens from its button.
- GPU water and debris need WebGPU; without it, water runs on the CPU.
- Nothing to sign up for, and nothing loads from other sites.
- Scenes aren’t saved, but Undo is a click away.
