Inside the studio
About the studio
A digital whiteboard that needs no manual. Write anywhere, sketch with a pen that snaps a rough shape clean when you hold still, link shapes with connectors that route themselves and grow a mind map with the Tab key. When it’s time to talk it through, frames become slides.
Made for
Anyone who thinks better with a pen in hand: students making notes, teams mapping a process, and planners of rooms, launches and songs.
What’s inside
- 01Smart ink: hold the pen still and a rough sketch snaps into a clean shape
- 02Connectors that bind to shapes and route themselves
- 03Seven papers, from dots and grid to blueprint and chalkboard
- 04Ten templates, a command palette and frames that present as slides
Where to start
- 1Double-click anywhere to write, or start from a sticky note, the pen or a template on the welcome card.
- 2Draw with the pen and hold still at the end of a stroke to snap it into a clean shape.
- 3Select a shape and press Tab to grow a mind map; ⌘K (Ctrl K) finds everything else.
Good to know
- No account and nothing uploaded: boards stay in this browser and keep in step across tabs.
- Export PNG or SVG, save .slate files and open Excalidraw drawings.
- Works offline after the first visit, and installs like an app.
